Lancaster AKM-47M
 

Got an email from my FFL last night saying he's expecting three Lancaster AKM-47s (the 3060), and was offering them to his customers for $585 + shipping. I've been looking at one of these for awhile, so I jumped on it. Since I'm local, he has to charge me sales tax, but I come out a little ahead since won't need shipping or a FFL. Out the door price with background check is $630.

I've been looking at these for awhile. It's only the 1mm receiver and not the 1.6mm, but Lancaster offers a lifetime warranty and I've read nothing but positive reviews on them. I also like the red furniture.:yippee:

Standard AK round - 7.62 x 39. The same stuff that's been on sale at Academy the past week or so for $150 per 1000. Must be a sign....:biggrin:

No on both. It's Academy's Monarch brand. The steel cased stuff is made by Barnaul. They also carry Monarch brass-cased ammo for around $8 or $9 per 20 - that's made by Prvi Partisan. Anyway, the sale ends today. I'm heading out in a few to see if they have any left - already scored nearly 5 cases, but now I've got another mouth - er, chamber to feed....

Don't know, SC. Everybody charges $5 for that around here. And this FFL only charges $25 for his FFL fee - I had to use one closer to home when this guy was laid up in the hospital, and he charged $35. Like I said, everybody here charges the $5 - never thought anything about it....

I have one of those... Only use it when the target it out of throwing range of my sword.

But they are very nice AK's.
